Margaret was born in Antigua, British West Indies, the daughter of a Methodist missionary, and came to the United States when she was 12 years old. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Maryville College in Tennessee and her Master's from the State University of New York in Albany. She taught English (grades 7 freshman college) for several years before becoming a military wife and traveling all over the world with her husband. She has two sons and one grandchild.
Traveling has enriched Margaret’s life. She is able to bring a multitude of interesting activities to River Commons with influence from other exciting cultures and places.
Margaret enjoys working at River Commons and has been its Director of Life Enrichment for 20+ years. She derives her greatest pleasure from facilitating events that involve seniors who can share their interesting memories, all while creating new ones! She feels part of a great team, and she feels it is a pleasure to come to work each day.
