Lisa McLaren, Community Manager

Lisa McLaren has been in the health care field for 21 years and loves the elderly community. As a youth, she worked as an on-site attendant of an adult foster care home with 21 dual-diagnosis adults on weekends. In 2006, Lisa spoke alongside the Secretary of AHCA at St. Pete College, in front of 300 health care workers about Hurricane Charlie and safety tips.

For 14 years, she was in administration of an Alzheimer facility that was licensed ALF, LNS, ECC, CLIA, and Medicaid. She helped in getting the community licensed and profitable. When Lisa left that position, she was the Executive Director.

The last position Lisa held was at a 182-bed continued care community. During her time there, she was hosted on a radio show talking about veteran's benefits, and was also featured in the local paper four times this year for community events.

Some of the clubs and organizations she belongs to include: Disabled American Veterans, Fawcett Hospital H2U, Ocean, Home Health Network, Alzheimer Association, and Retired CNA Association. She has 300 professional contacts in Southwest Florida and her mission is to serve and help our elders.

Currently, Lisa looks forward to being in the management position of River Commons and working with a caring team to provide safe affordable housing. Making River Commons profitable and raising the census is her main, number one goal for this community.
