Johnson Joseph, Food Service Director

Johnson called New York City home until moving to Port Charlotte, Florida in 2005. He is married, and says that his three children are his greatest accomplishments. He is also a very proud grandfather.

Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree from Adelphi University in New York, and has spent the last 28 years in food service. He takes pride in his skills in food service management and enjoys preparing menus which please our residents.

Johnson is very excited to be on the staff at River Commons. He feels that it is wonderful to feel part of a great team. Johnson feels that food is not just for nourishment but rather an “experience” that one looks forward to each day. He prides himself on cooking from the heart, believing that food is most flavorful when it is prepared by a person with a sincere love for cooking.

Each meal he plans is home-cooked with traditional healthy methods, and he is mindful of utilizing more fresh and less processed food. His holiday meals and the monthly Wine & Cheese event always get special rave reviews.
